| GEH | Strand 3 Nature, Science, Technology |
- Focus on the natural world (including humans as biological animals);
- Aim at generating new general and theoretical knowledge, and understanding/interpreting this knowledge;
- Use more general, technical methods, such as empirical testing, experimentation and quantitative research;
- Are more concerned with law-like generalities than specifics;
- Examples of “Strand 3 disciplines”: physics, chemistry, biology, physiology, astronomy, neurology, aspects of geography, meteorology, geology, environmental science, statistics, applied mathematics and computer technology.
