Welcome to the General Education (GEO). General Education constitutes a fundamental pillar of undergraduate studies at EdUHK. Its primary objective is to cultivate critical and analytical thinking, enhance communication skills, and promote values analysis across various stages of intellectual development. The General Education curriculum is meticulously designed to equip students with the requisite knowledge, skills, values, and dispositions necessary to navigate the challenges they will encounter in their academic and professional lives. It commences with the Foundation Course, which fortifies students’ foundational knowledge and tertiary study skills. Subsequently, students engage in a diverse array of Breadth and Experiential Learning and Service Courses, enriching their experiences and broadening their perspectives. The curriculum culminates in a consolidation course that encourages critical self-reflection and reconceptualization of learning experiences by creating a University ePortfolio. We wholeheartedly anticipate that students will mature academically as they progress through the various stages of General Education courses, and we eagerly embark on this meaningful journey together.
