For the GE curriculum from the 2019/20 cohort to the 2024/25 cohort, GE Interdisciplinary Courses (GEICs) are integrated into the GE Breadth Courses and available to students from Year 2 Semester 2 to Year 3 Semester 1. Students need to complete any Positive and Values Education (PAVE) Course or GE Breadth Learning Strands 1-3 (GELS-Strands 1-3) or one complete set of the GE Breadth Learning Strands – New Six Arts (GELS-NSA) Courses before taking GEICs (No pre-requisite for Senior Year Entrants). Besides, students only need to take one GEIC, and extra GEIC(s) could not be taken as free elective(s).
Remarks: GEICs would be removed from the GE curriculum starting from the 2025/26 cohort and onwards (i.e., students admitted in the 2024/25 cohort are the last batch of students to take GEICs). The final semester for offering GEICs would be Semester 1, 2026/27.
Students will take the GEIC from Year 2 Semester 2 to Year 3 Semester 1. Please click here for the details of GEICs timetable.
